At Senior Helpers of Richmond, we believe compassionate people can become exceptional caregivers. That's why we provide our own 40-hour Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Training Program to help you start a rewarding healthcare career.

Our Training Program
Successful candidates will complete:
- 40-hour Senior Helpers PCA Course
- In-office clinical skills competency evaluation
- Supervised field training with an experienced caregiver
- Final competency review before receiving client assignments
Our goal is to prepare you with the confidence and skills needed to provide exceptional care while ensuring the safety and dignity of our clients.
What You'll Do
Once training is complete, you'll help seniors remain safe and independent at home by providing:
- Personal care assistance
- Companionship and conversation
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Transportation and errands (when applicable)
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Qualifications
No caregiving experience required—we'll train you!
Applicants must:
- Have a valid driver's license
- Have reliable transportation
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a drug screening
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be dependable, compassionate, and eager to learn
- Have strong communication and customer service skills
